I've been watching all the UTHSCSA posts for a while waiting for someone to start one up for the May 2011 accelerated program, and finally decided to take the initiative and see if there is anyone else out there that will be or hope to be attending the program.
Has anyone taken the TEAS downtown at UTSA and gotten their scores back? Mine are still blocked and I want to know how I did...
Also, anyone else hear back yet? I'd love to find out who my future classmates are!!
Has anyone received their blue clearance card yet? I'm hoping they get sent out soon bc my lease is up in march and so I'll be moving and I gave that address at the fingerprinting place!
@Monica. No I haven't received the blue card yet. I am 100% positive that I have no record whatsoever so I have no idea why it's taking so long.
I had my prints done on Dec. 16th and still no response....
Edit: I just found out (through our facebook group) that one of our classmates had to call the Board of Nursing and explain the situation about no receiving the blue cards. Apparently the school didn't give addresses out.
The number to call is (512) 305-7400. We have to explain the situation and they will connect us to the correct person. Hope that helps!
Has anyone had problems with getting access to the blackboard and portal system on the UTHSCSA website? I cant get in. I have changed my password and tried multiple times. Im just not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?
Has anyone received their blue clearance card from their background check? If so, when did you get your fingerprints done??
I just received my blue clearance card yesterday!!! It actually had the wrong address but right apartment number....go figure?? But I did my fingerprints the first week of January
got my clue card last week and sent it over along with my cpr certification.
bwal- try getting in touch with IT or something, they should be able to help you figure out whats wrong.
I saw there are some questions about parking and stuff- if you go to the facebook group (uthscsa nursing aug 2012) there are some answers ad mike ashburn is part of it and has answered a bunch of questions too.
I still haven't gotten my blue card BUT **** said he heard that I was cleared from the BON. How weird is that?!?! I had them send it twice! I'm super frustrated! **** said he even though they told him he needs a copy still.

I had the same problem. I had to request my blue card twice. I had my fingerprints done in Dec. and didn't receive my card until early this month. I'm not sure if you live near Austin (which is where the BON is located) but when I called I asked if I could pick up the card as a last resort method they said yes. It may be a bit of a waste of time going to Austin simply for a small blue card but at least you won't be held back if worse comes to worse.
