UTHSCSA Fall 2012

Hello Everyone,

With the deadline date very close, hope everyone is feeling less stress and now we all have to play the waiting game. Good luck to everyone who is applying for UTHSCSA fall 2012!

Lesson learned=get your immunizations completed now! I contacted the school about not having my 3rd in the Hep B series in time and they said I could not enroll. Strict rule. I'd have to reapply for the next term! Fortunately I spoke with my Dr's office and the school and we determined my 3rd shot for Hep B is not September, it's July--so I can still go. I was SO stressed out for a couple of hours today while we were working it out. :bugeyes:

It seems like a majority of the student are choosing the 3 series Hep B shot. But why not complete the A&B combo which can be done in about 6 weeks?

I was wondering that as well, but I noticed it requires a one year booster and maybe they want that done before nursing school? Just guessing.

When I went to the open house, the lady said it was okay to do the six weeks series and you could still enter school without the booster. Just curious why everyone else is going the other route. i'm so glad I completed mine back in high school.

If you've already sent the intent to enroll form have you gotten a confirmation email about it?

I sent my intent to enroll form this morning, and I haven't gotten confirmation. Another friend said the same thing. It think she might be out of the office today.

Someone should make a "UTHSCSA Nursing Class of May 2014" facebook group! So we can all get to know each other!

i love that uthscsa is so flexible on everything, most schools aren't as lenient esp with taking prerequisite classes. and yes i agree someone should make a group on facebook!
