UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016

Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

I got wait listed but I'm already accepted to TWU

Question...did you guys get in TWU's nursing school or just the Main Campus? I got into TWU but I have to wait to apply to their nursing school due to they require a Women's Studies course which is not offered at my community college. Please advise!

Yes. They require woman study course but you can take it during the program. I got in TWU 2016 spring nursing program. I also got all the prerequisites in community college. I haven't taken any class in TWU.

For everyone who accepted TWU, yes you are able to decline once you accept.

Aw dang I wish I would've known that sooner and I could've applied straight to the nursing program! So you're able to do the course at the Houston campus?

They do require it but if you are "core complete" from the institution you are transferring from, then you don't have to take that class.

Is there really any hope for someone on the waiting list to actually get in the program if there's a spot available? Does everyone who got rejected get waitlisted? I got wait listed, so I'm very confused. Congrats to everyone who got accepted!

Yes, i have seen others who got accepted from the waitlist on previous forums. I got rejected for fall 2015 but now i am waitlisted. Also, no it will distinctively say if you get rejected or waitlisted..or accepted.

I haven't gotten an email, and my admission status hasn't changed on myuth. ������ I'm so so happy for all of you!! Congratulations on a job well done!!!!!

You are not the only one. My status on myuth has not changed and I haven't received a letter yet. Hopefully, that is not a negative thing! But congratulations to everyone else!!!! :)

Congrats to everyone who got accepted! I got wait listed as well. Does anyone know how many people get put on the wait list? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!
