UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

Anybody else taking a winter mini class? I am taking one at lonestar and it starts dec17 and ends Jan 4. As long as the class is completed by Jan 14 you are fine right?

What's the deal? I wonder if most applicants have gotten notified yet? It's almost the 15th and I haven't herd anything, email or transcript eval.

I was denied from UTHSC :(

missing my vocab section when I took the HESI ... I didnt even know until it was too late

sighhh this was my number one choice

but I'll be going to PVAMU CON starting spring so its okay :)

God has a plan that we dont know/may not like but, in the end, it will be better for us

I entered this journey with a lot of prayers so I'm trusting that God will lead me to the right path for me

Well guys I got wait listed.... Which means I still have hope!!! Just wanted to let people who are waiting know, that I just heard from UTH. Just keeping up the faith still.

Looking back on other forums, being wait listed is not a bad thing. It's giving us a way in if others don't accept or can't meet the requirements. I am 44 yrs old and have worked all of my life. I have maintained a 4.0 in all pre reqs and I'm not about to give up now. It's not over until it's over. Keeping the faith!!

I was also wait listed. Does anyone know exactly how many people they have on the wait list? Well I am going to stay optimistic and hope a spot opens up for all of us. For those still undecided on what school they want to go to, no rush but a decision as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated! For some this is our only choice.

I called the school and they said they can't disclose how many students are on the list and the ranking.
