UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

Per the Statement of Intent: I asked if I could just fill it out and type in my signature. ****** ******** said that was fine! I don't have a scanner, so it was so much easier to do it that way :)

That definitely is easier! I wanted to be safe, so I just did it the hard way. Ah well.

Well, I finally got my transcript evaluation today, haha. It's a bit late but whatever... I'm glad to see that there wasn't any issues.

Is everyone gonna submit a FAFSA? It's probably a good idea to get started on the financial aid process soon... hopefully UTHSCs financial aid dept isn't as inefficient as HCCs. :banghead:

Im a nervous wreck! The only thing I can think of is the UT acceptance. Hope I can still get accepted.

Everyone, don't fret. Recall many people said notification would be sent out on Nov 15th. I heard it would start in Oct but I know they will continue to accept applicants until the 15th of Nov. If you haven't heard by Nov 15th then you may want to fret. Until then have happy thoughts. I hope to see all of you in Jan.

P.S. I'm still waiting for my circle to turn into a check mark.

I just spoke to someone today. I had a yellow triangle because of my hesi scores. She said my hesi scores were in and they changed by yellow triangle to a green check. I told her I was worried because they had already started notifications. She sounded agitated but nice. She said they are barely starting and will be continuing to give out acceptances up until November 16. Was anyone notified on Friday? It seems that they started early but are going really slow.

Same here!

When I went to one of their open-houses they said that the only grades they look at are for pre-reqs! Do you know if that changes for the accelerated program and if they look at the cumulative bachelor's gpa?

I had the same issue. My HESI scores weren't showing up even though I took my HESI in June, and they hadn't updated the system to reflect my scores. My application still shows the yellow triangle because I'm currently enrolled in classes at UH as well, and they said that won't change until the semester is over in Dec. :/ Though, it shouldn't affect admission status (according to them).

I have a friend who was notified Friday. I'm really worried too!
