Hi everyone! Good luck to everyone applying...hopefully you will hear something soon! When you are accepted to UT Houston, if anyone needs scrubs, I have 2 pairs of Grey's Anatomy XS with patches sewn on and a lab coat also with the patch sewn on. I will sell all for $70. If anyone is interested, I also have a pair of NikeID white leather shoes. The check is navy and the inside is orange (bright orange), I will sell for $90 also (wore them twice). Hey everyone,

I know a lot of people are still waiting to hear back from UT, but don't get your hopes up. The facebook page for the Fall Semester only has about 40 people in it so far, and I hear they are accepting about 150. I am sure there are plenty more acceptance letters to come! Congrats to all those who have gotten in, and good luck to everyone who is still waiting. I am sure you will hear something soon!! :)

I'm taking 17 credits this semester, and that should be it for my pre-req

When I applied the 1st time, I was taking my last 17 hrs the semester before and I didn't get in but I got a call right before the semester starting asking if I was still interested because my name came up on the waiting list. By this time, I had moved and was not able to apply again until this Fall 2013 application period, in the meantime, I took the opportunity to take Patho. since I had taken everything else. I got accepted this time too! Just don't give up hope, your stats are awesome!

Thanks all for all the support and congrats to everyone already got accepted. I just got the denial letter today. This is pretty disappointing to me but well, maybe I'm not for nursing. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I'm sorry to hear about the letter. I went through this in spring. I was wait listed and never heard back. It's heart breaking but don't let it get you down. I got accepted into the fall program. Just look at it as some time to relax before you get thrown into the craziness of nursing school. Trust me most of us have been denied or wait listed, there are only a lucky few who don't go through this process. Apply again don't give up on your dream! Good luck! I received my denial letter too over the weekend. However, I was offered admissions to TWU Houston weeks ago and secured my seat at that time. This is rather a silver lining as I have heard students at uthsc houston do not come out knowing their stuff. Best of luck to everybody

I got a denial letter as well but i was accepted to North Harris for the nursing program. I'm just glad to be starting somewhere!

Most important part probably is "The Baccalaureate Council did not recommend your admission to the BSN program at this time"

Hi sol0305.. I know U might be disappointed right now, but if Nursing is your dream then don't give up on it. Remain positive and give it another try.. U will be a great Nurse one day.. Take care and Good Luck

Good news everyone to everyone still waiting!!!! Several of us just on our Fall 2013 FB page have been offered to start the semester early in the Summer on May 20th since we are done with our prerequisites. This means that there are seats opening up for the Fall semester! In addition....I wanted to remind everyone new to the thread of my story... I first applied to UTHSC for the Fall 2012, although I had good stats to get in, I was still in the process of taking 17 hrs. I was VERY disappointed when I received a denial letter and I ended up moving from Houston to Fort Worth for a whole change of scenery and to shoot for TWU/Dallas, although UTHSC was really where I wanted to be, I was bitter. Well, a month before the Fall semester was to start in July, I got a call from UTHSC nursing admissions asking if I was still interested in attending for the fall!! My heart sunk because at this time, I was already enrolled in Patho. at TWU in Denton and it was too late to move back to Houston with that short of notice. I applied for TWU Spring 2013 and was denied to nursing school for the second time! I decided to give UTHSC another shot (since it was where I always wanted to be) and moved BACK to Houston after completing Patho at TWU, and applying to both UTHSC for Fall 2013 and TWU Houston. The third time around, I got accepted into both schools and chose UTHSC... and as I mentioned above, they since then have offered me to start 4 months early!

The message is, DON'T GIVE UP if this is your dream!! I'm so happy everything worked out the way it did, because now I don't have to take Patho my first hectic semester of nursing school and this will be such a relief! If I were you, I would still work on getting your immunizations up to date and CPR done so if any doors open up, you'll be ready!! Good Luck once again to you all!
