UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing Fall 2022 BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

I haven't seen a thread for the UTH-Pacesetter Fall 2022 cycle. The deadline for the application is coming up March 15th. Feel free to comment down below and good luck to anyone applying.

I'm considering applying to the Cizik school of nursing, and I am wondering how well-put-together it is. If you have been through the program, do you have any opinion about it? To everybody applying, what have you heard about it? Anything?

Has anyone been able to receive a course evaluation? I know their website states they don't send them because they get so many applications, but I read on past semester forums that they may send one if you request it.

I'm unsure if my statistics class I took will transfer as their stat pre-req and would rather be safe than sorry.

course evaluations are normally sent out to people who are missing something or a class or credit they are not accepting.

Hey, I took my HESI at another school too. I called elsevier support and they were able to walk me through it. This link, https://service.elsevier.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8093/supporthub/evolve/~/how-do-I-request-a-copy-of-my-HESI-transcript%3F/, also has a guide for how to send your scores.

Could you give the Elsevier suppport number that you called? The one I found and called just tells me to email them whenever I choose the options about HESI. Or if you know what is supposed to be the ID ?

I’m not sure what number it was because it’s been a while but I saw this number on their website, +1 800 222 9570. I found this link, https://service.elsevier.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8093/supporthub/evolve/~/how-do-I-request-a-copy-of-my-HESI-transcript%3F/

to be very helpful because it has a step by step guide on how to send your scores.

My sister is currently in the program and she likes it so far. It’s just really fast paced and it’s a lot of information.

Does anyone know/have seen someone get accepted with their science GPA meeting the bare minimum 3.0? Just found out that they do calculate the science GPA using ALL your grades even if you retook something so I’m horrified and screwed ??‍♀️ I was taking so many science courses when covid first hit and my professors made the transition the worst and I ended bad in so many of those classes and thought I could retake them and it would be fine but it seems not.

Hey y’all,

I applied for for Fall 22

3.55 Overall

3.61 Science

94.86 Overall HESI

(92.00 Anatomy)

Do y’all think I have a shot at being Accepted?

Hello, I suggest you apply. You got a very decent science and HESI GPA. There's really no telling how the school selects their students. Based on my cohort (I'm an upcoming S1 (third semester) student), I know people who got in with lower GPA and there are also people who did not get in with a 4.0 GPA. Hope that helps!

Is anyone here considering working while enrolled in this program? I'm having a lot of second thoughts about how I'm going to afford housing while also going to school full time. Or does anyone know if they offer loans to help with housing while enrolled?

I am going to be working part time while enrolled. It’ll be hard but I think it’s doable. I’m not sure if they offer assistance to help with housing but you should reach out to the financial aid department or advising. They should be able to let you know what options they have available.

Yep I plan on just working on the weekends. If the study load is too much I'll prob have to quit my job though.
