Hi, anyone knows how to input the HESI score in the application process? I took it at another school and I don't know what is HESI ID and how to fill in other parts.

Please help!

I would suggest calling the admissions staff for help. 713.500.2100

Hey, I took my HESI at another school too. I called elsevier support and they were able to walk me through it. This link, https://service.elsevier.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8093/supporthub/evolve/~/how-do-I-request-a-copy-of-my-HESI-transcript%3F/, also has a guide for how to send your scores.

Hi, does anyone have any idea on how they base who they accept into the program? As in do you have a better chance of getting accepted with higher scores/GPA because I read somewhere that it's kinda randomized.

Based on the other Spring/Summer/Fall cycle threads on here, the higher the HESI score and GPA the higher the chance of being accepted. Although there have been exceptions to this.

I know someone irl who got in and she had a 94% overall HESI score and a 3.8 GPA.

Hey, from what I’ve heard, it’s more of a lottery system. So it’s kinda random. but they do have a list of factors they consider, in addition to grades, on their website. https://nursing.uth.edu/prospstudent/criteria-BSN.htm

OK thank you so much!! I take my HESI tomorrow and I’m super nervous about it, I wanna increase my chances of getting accepted as much as possible with this score.

Good luck on your HESI! You got this!

So I am finishing up my application for the Fall 2022 term and I am just now realizing that there is not much information you can submit for your resume in terms of work experience & volunteer work. The only relevant section is where you list your professional history, but all it asks is for the name of your employer and dates employed. How would they know if you have healthcare experience or not, or even know what kind of work you did?

I just assumed that past work experience was taken into consideration from the program review team.

Hello! They're one of the few schools that don't take a holistic approach. According to their website, the only scores they consider are your GPA and HESI scores. They don't require resumes and personal statements. Based on prior application cycles, it seems to be a lottery system. I hope this answers your question. Good luck!

Got it. Thank you so much.

Another question. At this point, is it too late to retake a course to replace a lower grade since transcripts need to be submitted by the March 15th deadline? I'm assuming they don't calculate ongoing classes into the GPA even if it's taken before the term start date?

I would think it is because they have to have your official transcript by march 15.
