UTH Cizik School of Nursing BSN Pacesetter- Spring 2020

I thought I'd start this feed now. I applied in January. I know I'm early but I'm not much of a procrastinator. I just retook my Hesi and got a 89.2.. I feel I need to take it over but, some people are saying they don't even know UT's selection process. Can anyone enlighten me on that?

Interesting since last year they sent out acceptances on October 22 ?

I received my transcript evaluation in the mail last year on October 27th, so yeah it’s pretty darn late lol.

What are everyone stats? I received my transcript evaluation on 09/09

My Nursing GPA is: 3.75

Overall GPA: 3.43

Science GPA: 3.4

Hesi: 89.72

I have a Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Georgia. I think my nursing GPA is ok but I'm nervous because my overall GPA and my science GPA aren't as high as the rest of you guys. I also accidentally ended up taking ALL of the sections on the HESI because I didn't know we could skip Chemistry/Biology/critical reading but if you do not include those subjects then my HESI score comes out to be a 92. I got a 96 on the A&P section.

Does anyone know if they consider overall GPA? I read somewhere that they don't look at that and on their website it says avg nursing gpa is 3.5. So do they only look at the avg nursing pre-req gpa then?

Yes, they do. Your entire academic history is taken into consideration.

We are a awfully quiet for a group that’s about to find out a decision that will change our lives by next week. I’m freaking out, when I think about it , I just want to cry a little..I always thought October was so far away, but jokes on me ! Guysss!!!!! Good luck to everyone!

Don't fret, what's meant to be will be! That's the mantra I'm going with. If I don't get in, so be it. I have applied to other school's and ready for whatever is to come! Good luck to you!!

Yeah I made myself come to terms with what will happen if I don’t get in, I have activities lined up for myself , just to kind of ease the pain, it made me okay with whatever decision, are you on Instagram?

Did you apply anywhere else? Hopefully you will be celebrating a decision soon! I do use social media, send me a PM!
