UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort

Published

Is anyone else applying this June for the Spring 2021 Cohort, either the AO BSN or the BSN?

I'm currently taking CHEM 1451 and STAT 1308. If I pass these classes all I have left are Path and Pharm. I received a B for Microbiology, so I will be retaking that I think, and most likely CHEM & STAT. I received a C for the HIST 1312 US History since 1865, I took it at UTA, if I retake it at my local community college can I ask to replace the grade? Additionally, does anyone know if an Associate's in Science counts as a previous degree?

Don't forget!

  • Check your vaccinations! Start getting them squared away now! Especially the Hep B titers.
  • If you're from outside the US and have had the BCG vaccine, you will need the T-Spot or QuantiFERON blood test (which you probably already knew).
  • TEAS should be taken no later than 4/1/2020 (per the advisor).

Application deadline is June 1st!

This is trying to get people to get a degree in public health which guarantees acceptance to the nursing program.

Yea I just got it too. Just an offer to get a degree in public health.

Hey guys! Hope everything is good. Does anyone know what days clinical will be on for JR2? for Cohort 24 online?

I thought it’s presumed always to be weekends right? I hope you guys have been safe!

Hi all,

Anyone else been waitlisted for fall of 2021?

I got on the waitlist. 8.3 score with patho/pharm priority in San Antonio

FYI as long as you met the basic minimum you get on the waitlist

I wonder how many students (on average) get moved from the waitlist to accepted?

If it makes you feel better I did not get called off the waitlist until two days before Thanksgiving, around the time that grades were going in for Patho and Pharm. As much as it was a bummer that people were failing those classes it was an opportunity for me to start nursing school. I had an 8.435, unpartnered, no patho/pharm preference and am in DFW. People get weeded out super quickly with the vaccinations, which is mind boggling

Yeah I hate how they pretty much waitlist everyone then don’t tell you where to start on it, it’s frustrating.

I am at an 8.172 (unpartnered) and currently taking patho (doing well so far)...will take pharm over the Summer, so who knows if I even have a chance. (So assuming that I continue to do well in patho, if I reapply in June, I will be at an 8.67.) It seems like the averages I am seeing here are high 6's to low 9s. Yes...very frustrating about the vague waitlist.

Your scores seem great, I think you’ll have a really good shot. I was told pre-covid that a 7.5 score was competitive but there’s been so many more apps in with people being off work and such, it’s just bad luck for us.
