UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Is anyone else applying this June for the Spring 2021 Cohort, either the AO BSN or the BSN?

I'm currently taking CHEM 1451 and STAT 1308. If I pass these classes all I have left are Path and Pharm. I received a B for Microbiology, so I will be retaking that I think, and most likely CHEM & STAT. I received a C for the HIST 1312 US History since 1865, I took it at UTA, if I retake it at my local community college can I ask to replace the grade? Additionally, does anyone know if an Associate's in Science counts as a previous degree?

Don't forget!

  • Check your vaccinations! Start getting them squared away now! Especially the Hep B titers.
  • If you're from outside the US and have had the BCG vaccine, you will need the T-Spot or QuantiFERON blood test (which you probably already knew).
  • TEAS should be taken no later than 4/1/2020 (per the advisor).

Application deadline is June 1st!

Ah man! I would love to know how many people are prioritized above us ?

Hi is anyone applying for the Spring online start up and if so how competitive is it. The advisor told me the TEAS was not going to be considered and that the dead line is January 15. I was also wondering if there was any group chats for those applying. I have my associates of science.

@priscillai Hey Priscilla,

Do you mean the Fall 2021 session for AOBSN? They aren't requiring the TEAS? I'm applying as well for the fall.

I’m applying for the one with the January 15 dead line

@priscillai the advisor said they aren't requiring the TEAS? is that correct?

It’s required but it’s not going to be considered I believe

There is more movement! I got offered a spot in Longview, but I declined it because it's at least 2 hours away.

Just a heads up, I applied for DFW and I live quite a bit out west of DFW. My clinical site is the VA.  I'll be driving two hours to get to it. You may live in DFW so it may be easier, but it isn't always perfect. :/ I am just trusting that there is a reason bc we can not change clinical sites once assigned.

I live in Irving, so I am prepared to drive at least an hour in any direction, but man, Longview is far!

@Livsmadmom do you know how often the clinical days are?

I've heard it's two days a week and can be the weekend or two other days next to each other. I don't want to have to leave my house before 4am to make sure I am on time somewhere.
