Goals2018

Hello all! I am new to the community, even though I have lurked for forever and use this board to answer a ton of questions. I JUST finished putting my applications in for the online and the on site BSN program at the University of Texas Arlington. I'm nervous since this has been a goal for me since I was 17, but life kept happening and I have never been able to realistically attend such a rigorous course, let alone apply for one. My question is for all of those who have applied to UTA. My HESI A2 score was 91.5% overall, my sciences (so far) GPA is 3.75 (taking Chem this semester), and the rest of my GPA is 3.34. I have 3 considerations - I work at a partnership, a large portion of my course work and all of my sciences were taken at UTA. I've missed deadlines for other programs in the area since yesterday was my first opportunity to take the HESI so my hopes are kind of riding on this. (My overall goal is to be completed with school by the end of 2018 which is perfectly do-able with the accelerated program). What do you think my chances are? Any opinion is welcome - but I'm really looking for personal stories from those who wish to share them.
Thank you all!

Your chances look good. I wouldn't worry if you are wait listed, because there are a lot of applicants, but most people are applying to other programs as well so there will be declinations. I graduated last year from their online program and I was waitlisted for about a month before they called me with an open spot. I don't remember my exact numbers but I think my GPA going in was a 3.2 or 3.3, I made an 93% overall on my HESI and I was working at a partnered hospital. I only completed the 3 nursing pre-req courses and A&P 2 online at UTA.
It is an excellent program and the 15 months flies by so quickly. Its a great pace because the semesters definitely do not drag by and you're hitting the floors quick. You will be extremely busy and may not have a social life, but in the end, it is definitely worth it.
Good luck and you can message me with any questions!
