I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.
Oh, I thought you were grandfathered in for Fall 2013. The 30 hours have to be completed prior to the app deadline in order to be a consideration. I had 3 of the 4 sciences completed prior to the app deadline, and I am working on the 4th one now. They only look at the credit hours/grades that you have earned up to the app deadline.
At the time I applied I had completed 3 sciences. I am just now finishing microbiology and patho. Taking pharm in the summer and will have all my prerequisites done. I start The AP BSN program in the fall. Not partnered.
Wow!! You got in without all the sciences? Good job!! Any other considerations?
Did that give you 30 hours? That is the only consideration I can have. Without it I simply don't stand a chance. Plan to take patho with my 2 history classes in the spring.
Patho was the only thing keeping me sane while taking History. It is a great class. I guess I didn't have 30 hours, I had 23, maybe that's what kept me back. Hoping my advisor will give me some insight.
Patho and Pharm are not one of the natural sciences considered in the Science GPA. Although I am surprised they admit students who have not completed them yet. I am in the same boat as LCordelia. Wrapped up both A&P's and Chem prior to the deadline. Just finished Patho, in Micro now, and taking Pharm this summer.

Is chem online bad? That class scares me! Soo lookin forward to patho.
Not going to lie, Chemistry sucked. But I managed to get an A. You have to conduct labs in your kitchen, fill out lab reports, scan them, and upload them to BB. The exam questions have multiple answers, or none of the above, all of the above... ugh. And there is a lot of homework. He did offer extra credit, though. It was my least favorite class, for sure. Make sure you watch his lecture videos...he gets a lot of his test questions from them.
