I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.
Hi Joshsmother, I'm taking the patho final today. This has been my favorite class so far. Finally actually asked to think. Finally asked to put all those memorizing classes to good use. Finally asked to start thinking like a nurse.I found her lectures and video presentations wonderful. Clear, great explanations, pictures and diagrams that accentuated the information, fun study tips and the very best part was her positive attitude and cheerleading.
As far as how hard, difficult for me to gauge because it was so fascinating, I didn't even know I was studying half the time. I probably put in less than 6 hours a week.
I took NURS-UL-3366-600-PATHOPHYSIOLOGIC-PROCESSES, I know some students took another version NURS-2366.
Good luck.
Not able to register! Need chem and I was not aware o that. Can't take it until fall so patho is on hold.
Just took the online Patho final. It was tough. Make sure you know all the normal vitals like BP, HR, glucose, etc. Also make sure you know very well all the acid/base imbalance stuff. There's a lot of Cardiovascular stuff on there as well as pulmonary stuff. Not sure how well I did, and I need at least an 80 on this final to maintain my A. Good luck!
I just took the final and the weighted average that is listed on the grades page is your grade. I can only tell because mine changed after I took the test. I was trying to calculate what I needed to make to get an A so I looked at all my scores and recalculated to see if the weighted total matched up to this point (prior to final) and it did. So, though you do not know your actual grade on the test, you can tell if you have an A, B, C or whatever. Now if anything turns out differently, please don't hold me to this but it really appears to be accurate.
