UTA FALL 2017-On campus Bsn program

Published

I noticed there is no thread for those of us that will be applying to UTA On campus BSN program for Fall of 2017. Feel free to reply to this post if you are considering applying so we can keep in touch.

I plan to apply after I take my HESI in December! Super excited but also nervous. I hope to enroll for Intro, Pharm, and Tech Writing in the spring but can't until after my orientation on December 6th.

Good to know you are applying as well. I have 3 more weeks left to complete Pharmacology and Technical writing. Already took the Hesi.

Hey, I spoke with my advisor today and confused about some basic courses. Does technical writing replace a literature class or do you have to take both? Thank you

Cbui52 - they are two different classes. You have to take both

I'm currently near the end of my program, 3 more nursing classes to go along with the 2 math courses needed. Technical writing does not replace the English Literature course. The technical writing course helps you write better papers; it gives you the low down on APA style which is used through out the course. The book for the class is one I keep with me and refer to all the time, in fact if I misplace it I panic! Good luck with your educational endeavors! M

Hello,

I am applying for the program in January and I take my HESI in December. I am currently taking Technical Writing and College Algebra. I have registered for Patho, Intro to nursing, and medical term for the Spring semester. I'm nervous about applying and getting accepted but I have to at least give it a shot. I am also applying to Collin College where I have done all but three of my prerequisites, Grayson, Brookhaven, and El Centro. Both my overall and science gpa are 3.5 without the two courses I am currently taking this fall semester. My advisor told me I had a good chance at getting in, I just pray that I do.

How long did you study for the HESI ?

I am, I just graduated PVAMU with a bachelors in Health but my passion is nursing so I applied to both the acclerated program online as well as the campus based program. I hope i get into the campus based progrma because the online course scares me I am better off in a face to face setting.

milaneugene....I also plan on applying both for the online and on campus program. But I pray to get into the on-campus program because online scares me.. I have the spring and summer to complete all my prerequisites.

Yes I'm taking chemistry, technical writing and intro to nursing right now and English literature and patho and pharmo within the spring and summer that's all I have left. I hope we make it and start nursing school together in the fall! Good luck to you!

I will be taking Chemistry in the wintermester at dcccd. In the Spring will be patho, statistics,English literature, History 1302 and Sociology. Will be taking intro to nursing in the Summer at UTA. How is intro to nursing? How challenging is that class? I pray we get in together so we can be study partners.
