UTA Fall 2015 NP acceptance

Hello! Has anyone else applied for Fall 2015 admission to any of the NP programs at UT-Arlington? It would be great to hear from any other applicants awaiting acceptance. :)

I just wanted to add that the advisor has been very helpful and responsive in trying to work with me on this situation. She has been very prompt in answering my emails. I know it isn't her fault that the process is so slow. I don't want to discourage anyone from applying to this school as I believe the program is a good one. However, I do think the idea that you can't get an answer to your transfer courses until after registration is ridiculous. Especially if one of the classes is a pre-requisite to all other classes. I think the process has been even further delayed because it is the summer and not everyone involved in the process is readily accessible. At any rate, I have figured out a schedule that will work for me without knowing the outcome of the transfer classes. If you are applying and have transfer classes.....communicate early on with the school and see if you can get the process started ASAP!

Do you think it would be beneficial to email the Director of my program? I was told by my advisor that she is waiting on an official letter from the Director of my respective program, as she is the one who decides which courses are accepted. I hate to be bothering anyone, I just want to be able to register.

I emailed my director when I was trying to find out the process for having my courses evaluated. She responded quickly and did not seem bothered at all. I would absolutely email your director and politely ask for guidance on how to proceed with the process and registration. We are, after all, paying for this education and being able to register is a pretty important part of the process!! You have every right to advocate for yourself!

Thank you for the advice! I will email her... you are right. As I'm new to the school, I don't want to be a nag to faculty. I need to register! :)

I emailed my director...but unfortunately have not heard back from her yet. Did you go ahead and register? If so, if you don't mind me asking, how did you decide what to register for?

Not yet, I m still waiting, I called them to check on my application, they said my file has been moved to decision process area. So I m waiting on their decision.

The program I applied for is based on availability so I won't know until it's closer for school to start :( Good luck to you !!!
