Ut Tyler nursing fall 2015

Published

Is anyone applying for fall 2015?

It's true they send out acceptances in batches. @anaeka, don't lose hope, one of my friends got her acceptance letter just yesterday. 3.53 overall GPA, 3.86 science GPA. She made a B on Teas V, I don't know the exact score though.

Thank you for the support! I'm trying not to go crazy over here but I know that they are expecting it to take much longer this time because it's the first semester UTT used NursingCAS.

@ Anaeka, have you heard anything? Acceptance or denial. My other friend also got her acceptance last week. I hope you hear something soon. Just be positive and don't lose hope.

I'm on the waiting list for Palestine, and still haven't heard back from Tyler. I was told that I have a good chance of getting pulled from the waiting list, so that's a little better than hearing nothing! I'm glad I called to ask about it, because the other two campuses didn't even have me in their pool after Longview pulled my application.

That's good to know. At least there's some hope. Good luck, I hope you get in.

I got put on the wait list for the Palestine campus too! but still waiting to hear from the Tyler campus

Would any of those who have been accepted (or not as well) into the Fall 2015 class be so kind as to post their admission points total? I'm trying to get some sense as to what range of scores constitutes the target for admission this go-round.

They don't do the point system anymore. They use GPAS and Teas V Scores. To be considered for admission, you should score at least 64% in math and at least 72% on the reading section.

If I may ask, angieperry, WHEN and FROM WHOM did you receive that info? GPAs and TEAS scores are included in admission points. My daughter is currently in the pre-nursing track and, as of her last advising appointment, was told the admission points system was still in effect.

Then I think your daughter is the best one to ask since she just had an advising session. Or see an advisor. That's what I know....
