Hey baby nurses, I am creating a space for the UTSW July 2024 Nurse Cohort Applicants. ?

Does anyone know if they are still sending out interview invites? And if there is someone I can contact regarding questions about the residency?

I also got my acute medical residency offer this morning! The offer was for internal medicine! I tried to personal message you but it wouldn't let me.

How long after you interviewed did you get an offer? Did they email or call you with an offer? Congrats!

I thought it went okay. Historically I am not the best at interviewing but I actually did 2 2 hour interview prep sessions and I think that really helped. It took up the whole hour and they were honestly rapid firing questions at me — I probably had 8 situational/behavioral questions back to back. I just tried my best to give an answer even if I felt like I didn't have a very good example and try to beef it up by explaining how I felt that situation would make me a good nurse. If I had any advice it would just be to stay positive 🙂 This was my 7th interview and I was starting to get discouraged I wouldn't get an offer but all it takes is 1!

They offered me within 24 hours of my interview.

Thank you! Yes it was 6 unit managers. Thought it would be intimidating but having more people there oddly made me feel more comfortable? It was rapid fire questions, but nothing super difficult. Mostly behavioral, "tell me about a time when", questions.
