UT Houston Generic BSN applicants Fall 2010

Published

I was hoping to start a thread for fall 2010 UTHSC. Where we can be positive and share info without going into exact detail of interviews. Like have you got your acceptance letter, packet, etc?

I had my interview on Feb. 8th. I'm not sure that I did so well. It was hard to tell. I really hope I get in. Good Luck to all that are applying.

Thanks for starting a new thread! I had my interview yesterday and I'm probably going to be checking my UTLink account five times a day until the status changes, though I know it won't be any time soon. I'm not sure how I did either.

Here's a link to the facebook group I made for the Fall 2010 hopefuls:

Sadly I have already checked mine three days in a row even though I know they are not done interviewing. I read on previous threads that other's UTlink were updated March 20th and beyond so I am hoping it's sooner rather than later.

Eesh. Over a month from now! I'm applying to several universities and UT Houston is the only one that has a website I can check. That means UT's website is going to bear the brunt of my nervousness and impatience! :p

My husband and I live in Austin and we're both applying to universities. We don't want to be separated, so we want to be accepted by schools in the same city or nearby. He's already been accepted by the University of Houston for his first choice major. If UT Houston accepts me then I know we'll have a match and I can relax finally.

My husband and I lived in Austin for awhile. I loved it there. We live in north Houston now , it only takes about 30 or so minutes to get to the medical center. Did you apply to UT in Austin also? Well I hope you get in so you and your husband can be in the same city. I know how stressful that can be.

Hi you guys can I join in here?

Thanks Jennifer for starting a new post. You were the one at my table, across from me...who did you interview with? Please don't tell me it was Stacey...she is tough! I am so glad you started a new thread. Much calmer here out of the shark's tank. :igtsyt:

Thanks! My husband is hoping to get a degree in Construction Management which is only offered as an associate's degree here in Austin. Since he eventually wants a graduate degree, we'll have to move and UT Austin isn't really an option. I grew up in Houston's Montrose area so it won't be a huge transition, but I'll really miss Austin.

Does this Stacy have dark curly hair?

I don't remember her name she was a doctor. Whoever she was she was hard to read. I think I connected with her on some things but others I am not so sure. I was just so nervous. I thought of everything I should have said on the drive home. Trying not to stress now because it's out of my hands. Yes there was to much fighting back and forth. It's like little kids. You are, no you are...........:uhoh3: Good luck all!!!

Oh my gosh, I'm already feeling at ease on this forum. Great idea to start a new one! Hawkins, I interviewed yesterday as well. My best friend and sister-in-law were there with me. We all got our interviews the same day so it was very exciting! I have yet to check for an update on the Ut-link but have been talking to my friends that are also applicants non-stop!

HawkinsRv, I really hope he gets in so you both can do what you want. My husband is a salesman for oilfield equipment and I am always praying he doesn't get transferred while I am still in school. I don't think I could stand being seperated from him for that long plus he really helps out with the kids while I study.

I believe that Stacey does have brown hair. I am so sorry, my interviewer was like that last semester and she made me so nervous. Then again, she was pregnant we found out later on...Bless her heart she was probably beyond stressed. I am sure it was good, don't beat yourself up over what you could of or should of said, it is done now and you will only make yourself nuts. I did that last time and trust me I feel much better this time, no regrets and I am happy with what I said...I must have been in there with her 25 minutes though...oddly enough I found out this being the second time around I didn't really change my answers, so turns out I really wouldn't have said much, differently. It is all in God's hands ladies and we have to have faith in him to bring us the rest of the way. Whatcha think?
