UT Houston CRNA 2016

Published

Hi Everyone!

I have been following this website for quite sometime in preparation for my application to CRNA school. I have learned some valuable tips and advices from a lot of the posts. I hope to be able to utilize them if given a chance to interview to one of the schools I applied to.

Anyone here applied for Fall 2016 CRNA program in UT Houston? I would love to hear from you guys! Im starting this thread as a support group/forum as we journey on and go through the anxieties/excitement of application and interview process.

Goodluck guys!

how many did they accept this year?

Did anyone sign up for the spring courses?

Yes I signed up for both. I heard thru the grapevine that it really helps with easing the class load. Did you sign up for one or both?

Since I'm not from Houston I don't think i will be signing up for both classes. Im debating on taking the stats course. I still need to send in one verification form in order to register. Has class started?

Class started Jan 11th

Is there a Facebook group or something for our class? Or just a list of contact information?? Trying to find a possible roommate and just start making connections

Beebers I am in the research class right now, I'll try to find you on Wednesday! Took the stats class last semester.

If there is not a Facebook group right now that anyone knows of I can make one!

UT CRNA 2016

Hi!

I received an interview for the BSN-DNP program at UTHouston Health Science Center for 2017 and wanted to see if you could give me some pointers on the interview process. I would greatly appreciate it!!

Thank you so much!!

Same here jsu00a! I'm trying to do as much research and insight as possible! I would love to get further information about the process and the questions they ask!

My biggest advice would be only say what you know. You pretty much guide your own interview. Whatever you answer, there will be a follow up questions based on that answer. So I would not recommend saying things just to impress, they will be able to tell. Be honest, show humility but also be confident and show that you are willing to be taught. I would say it's pointless to try to impress them with GPA or awards (it matters but thats not the only thing they are looking for) because everyone interviewed is highly qualified and smart. It's just a matter of being able to make yourself stand out in the most genuine way. Cliche but it's true.
