Hello everyone!

I want to start a thread for those of you applying to UT-Houston's BSN-DNP CRNA program for 2017 admission. How is everyone faring so far? Being that this is a competitive program, this is a place where we can help each other out essentially.

I'm finishing up my application soon. Who else is doing the same?! What are your stats? Mine are:

GPA 3.8

GRE: 306

3 years SICU

CCRN

sorry CVICU not SICU

Can't apply for 2017. Maybe 2018 or 2019 class. How much would it benefit me to go neuro icu route for my icu choice?

Hello, I would say just get into any ICU you can. Neuro wouldn't be beneficial, more experience in ICU (3 years is a good amount), and SICU/ CVICU in a level one trauma hospital would help you stand out. Any ICU dealing with high acuity patients is what they are looking for.

I am also applying just finishing up my letter. My stats are gpa: 3.6 , GRE 313, 2 years level 1 trauma icu, ccrn. Good luck!!
