UT Health Pacesetter Summer 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!

I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.

Stats:

HESI Overall: 92.4

Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88

Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0

Cumulative GPA: 3.41

My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!

I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).

Hello guys! Did anyone register classes already? I've enrolled for Term 1 already. I was wondering do we only pick summer 2019 term for right now? I saw the courses for Term 2, 3, 4 are shown in MyUTH registering classes portal as well when I choose to enroll by my requirements.

There's BSNPAC term 1, term 2, term 3, term 4 courses all shown.

@Rachel61654 yes I think you only pick classes for the first term, I picked classes already but I was confused because there was two classes for health assessment N3511 and N3511W. Which one did u pick?

From what I read while picking my classes is that if it has a W after the class number then it means it's Web based so it's online. So N3511 is in person on campus and N3511W is online.

Hi, I'm a current J1. You guys should be registering for the regular N3511. They have a list of required courses for each term I think. The W web version is for the bridge program RN to BSN.

Hope that helps!

HI guys. I uploaded two screenshots of the classes I picked for term 1. I only picked classes for term 1 not 2,3,4.

I believe these 5 courses are all the courses we need to take for summer 2019 term 1.

new students can verify it with me, and current students can tell me if it is correct. XD

Hello! I am in the 2019 UTH summer pacesetter program. I have to commute from spring, tx. Unfortunately, I don’t drive. Is there anyone starting in summer 2019 that is commuting from spring, tx or the woodlands area??

thanks!!

Can we also create a fb group for summer 2019 students? That way we can all get in touch and help each other out this next 15 months? #UTHSUMMERPACESETTER

#cizikschoolofnursing?

They already made one.

@accionursingbook do you mind sharing the link with me plzzz

@accionursingbook I found it!! but thanks anyways!!

I also live in Spring. I have a car but prefer to use the Metro Bus. This saves a lot on traffic annoyance, bypass crazy drivers and gives a opportunity to study on the way there. The Metro Express bus 102 ($0.60 / one way Qfare Metro card) which stops at the Greenspoint Transit Center and goes directly to the downtown transit center using the HOV lane. This takes about 25 min & about another 15 min by rail to TMC (free transfer from Metro bus).

One can also take the Kuykendahl or Spring park & ride bus ( ($1.85 / one way Qfare Metro card) which are about 2 miles north of the Greenspoint Transit Center. It does not matter which Bus you take as it ends up being around the same amount of time. I hope this information helps.

Hopefully we hear soon if we’re getting off the waitlist or a denial. I think we’ll hear back very soon since the summer term is getting closer.
