Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!

I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.

Stats:

HESI Overall: 92.4

Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88

Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0

Cumulative GPA: 3.41

My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!

I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).

That sucks so much I remember my rejection last semester and it felt terrible. But I just wanted to let you know to keep your chin up, we've all worked super hard for this and one day you will also be a nurse as long as you keep working hard for it. Your time will come ?

Hey Zeee thank you so much I really appreciate it. I will definitely be applying for fall and also attempting to apply to other schools to give myself better chances. I saw when you had posted at first thinking you hadn’t got in because nothing had changed and then had someone check for you and I was so happy to see you had been accepted. Congratulations and hopefully I’ll be seeing you in the fall!! Fingers crossed lol. Or you never know let’s see if I get waitlisted and am lucky enough to still get in!! I’ll keep trying until it happens. I think all of us were prepared to not give up and that perseverance and desire will be what will make us all great nurses!!

Did anyone receive denials yet? How long do they take to let you know if you were denied/ waitlisted?

I haven't received anything yet but they will notify us soon. Waitlists are usually a day after acceptances go out and then denials will be sent.

Last time my portal changed to denied after nov 15 and I also got a letter in the mail, no email though. So this time I’m assuming it’ll be around April 15

A lady I spoke to from the operator line said they send them out in batches and they may not be done yet.

Hoping for a miracle lol. I know in the past it has always been acceptances sent all at once, then denials and waitlist, BUT we were also wrong about the acceptances coming out last friday and this monday, so maaaaybe we're wrong about all acceptances being sent out already. Lol wishful thinking but you never know!

For this past Spring, acceptances went on October 22nd and wait list emails went out October 30th. Then people said they finally got their denial on their portal or through the mail around November 6-10th. So about a week to find out who has been waitlisted and about 2 weeks or more to get official denials. But with Spring Break coming up it may take an extra week each for us. Idk.

As for being Waitlisted, through looking at past threads I've only seen about 1 to 3 people say they were accepted off the Waitlist. Now granted not everyone applying is on this forum, so you never know. But my guess still is that very few spots open up since it's such a coveted school to get in to. I don't blame people for not giving up their seat lol

My application is under review as well ? but i'm trying to remain positive. I applied for TWU and UTH fall semester so I hope that goes well! I am upset but this was my first time applying. Hopefully I'll have a better advantage for the fall round because I just want to get into nursing school so badly. I wish everyone a great Spring and Summer. Even if we don't make it into UTH this semester; let's still make our summer the best it can be. ? keep up the good work everyone!

With fall deadline being next week during most other Texas colleges spring break, i would sure hope they could give everyone their denial/waitlist this week.. because by next week if I have to reapply I won't be able to send in updates transcripts because HCC is on spring break next week so no one is there to process transcript requests! If I don't hear by Friday I'm probably just going to go ahead and reapply to be safe so I can send new transcripts before the office is closed for spring break :(

I got accepted for this summer guys! I got my email at 12:15pm today.

My stats

Overall Gpa: 3.7

Science GPA: 3.8

Prerequisite GPA: 3.9

Hesi: 90.8

Also I didnt get a transcript evaluation in the mail.
