Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!
I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.
Stats:
HESI Overall: 92.4
Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88
Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!
I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).
For anyone that is thinking of retaking their HESI to re-apply, unless you have really low scores I would reconsider. The first time I applied I had a higher HESI score and got flat out denied and re took it and did worse and got accepted. Good luck to all that have yet to hear back, don't lose hope a semester off from school is a very short amount of time compared to the rest of your life. Make the best of it and enjoy time with your friends and family. I was super bummed when I got denied for the spring but now feel refreshed and realize that starting in January would have made me completely burned out. Everything has its time! Congrats to everyone else who also got accepted can't wait to meet y'all! ?

I just got an acceptance email @ 4:44. For those of you still waiting, please do not lose hope and keep going. I also can't wait to meet those of you who have been accepted!
Well that's that for me. No change in portal and no email, so it's either a wait list or denial. Not too upset about it though as it was only my first time applying. Will for sure be applying for Fall! I know it's harder to get into, but ya never know. I am applying to Lone Star as well because one way or another I'm going to nursing school this year.
