Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!
I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.
Stats:
HESI Overall: 92.4
Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88
Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!
I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).
I'm really happy there's a thread for the 2019 Summer pacesetter! I've been sifting through previous threads and I'm really afraid my HESI score isn't high enough. I took my HESI through the Lonestar system for their nursing ADN program; however, it took about a month for me to send my scores so they're just getting there. If anyone could give me some advice... if I took the HESI again, could I still send it to UTH and have two scores on file even if I didn't put in on my application that I took it twice?
HESI- 88
GPA-3.89
Science GPA- 4.0
Nursing GPA- 3.9
From what I read, you can have your most updated score sent to UTH. Just make sure you are taking all parts required for UTH in one sitting otherwise they make you retake the whole exam. Also, if you do retake it I would suggest using the UTH school code so it is sent to them directly. They get the score at the end of the month in which you take it, with the exception of January since that is when apps are due, they send your scores immediately after the exam.

I think your stats are really good tbh. Better than mine lol. I know someone who got in last summer with an 86 on HESI and a GPA of a 3.6 so don't lose hope! :)
Hey everyone! I am wanting to apply to the Summer 2019 BSN program at UTH but I feel like my cumulative GPA is low. 2.9 :/// I am however taking classes this semester so do you guys think it will boost up to at least a 3.2. This is the only school that I know has summer admissions and I am trying to start nursing school already. I haven't take the Hesi yet but planning to take it by December.
Hello everyone. I applied for the spring 2019 semester and I was accepted. If anyone has any questions about my experience with the application process I will try my best to answer them. Good luck to everyone!!! Also I attended an info session before I was accepted and we were told that the summer semester has about 600 applicants. The spring and fall semesters have well over 1,000 each. This might be a good thing since there is less competition lol.
