Yes, it is extremely early to begin talking about the Spring 2018 class, however, I thought it would be nice if we could all get together here and go through our pre-req/application/acceptance journey. It would be fun to lend support, chronicle our stresses and excitements and see how everything unfolds for us from now until the first day of class (assuming we get accepted).
I'll start:
I'm taking my pre-reqs at Lonestar (10 hrs for Spring, 14 hrs for Summer). I plan to take 18 hrs for Fall and will be testing out of 15 hrs via CLEP. I work PRN in a Critical Care unit at a major hospital. I will be taking the HESI in May; once Spring semester ends. Lastly, I have high hopes to be accepted into the Honors program once I am eligible to apply, since I have a deep interest in research.
I hope to hear from some of you! The application deadline is September 1 and there is a webinar info session at 10am tomorrow.
God bless.
Hello everyone, hope y'all are receiving lots of good news from the program! I am applying for Summer '18 but have one issue with pre recs and am in desperate need for an answer from someone that works at UTH SON. Have any of y'all come across someone that was helpful in answering your questions during the application process? It would be super huge if you could help me out. Thanks again in advance and happy holidays!
Hello,I am not a Texas resident and have never taken the Texas Government prerequisite requirement. Does anyone have the same problem? I have sent emails and placed calls into the admissions department, but haven't received a response.
You will be required to take the Texas Government pre-requisite. I'm pretty sure it is a requirement at every school in Texas.
Hi everyone, happy new year.I need some help scheduling my HESI A2 for the UT Health pacesetter admissions. I try scheduling it via ElSevier, but the website tells me there aren't any exams available? How do I request eligibility so I can schedule my exam?
Hi nfsaleem,
Are you selecting a specific date(s)? When I scheduled my exam, I had to select a range of dates through the Elsevier site and then wait to be notified about availability via a separate email. If you've already done that, perhaps email Elsevier directly and ask about the availability? I'm sorry I'm not more help.

Hey guys, I was waitlisted for the Spring and received acceptance this morning. Perhaps there are a few slots left still!
