Yes, it is extremely early to begin talking about the Spring 2018 class, however, I thought it would be nice if we could all get together here and go through our pre-req/application/acceptance journey. It would be fun to lend support, chronicle our stresses and excitements and see how everything unfolds for us from now until the first day of class (assuming we get accepted).
I'll start:
I'm taking my pre-reqs at Lonestar (10 hrs for Spring, 14 hrs for Summer). I plan to take 18 hrs for Fall and will be testing out of 15 hrs via CLEP. I work PRN in a Critical Care unit at a major hospital. I will be taking the HESI in May; once Spring semester ends. Lastly, I have high hopes to be accepted into the Honors program once I am eligible to apply, since I have a deep interest in research.
I hope to hear from some of you! The application deadline is September 1 and there is a webinar info session at 10am tomorrow.
Hello everyone. Quick question, does anyone know what the deadline is to have all courses complete, immunizations up to date, etc.? -- I ask because in the follow up e-mail I received, I was informed that I had an outstanding class. At this time it is too late to sign up for anything this month, but there are a couple of mini sessions available. I called the Office of the Registrar, but was forwarded to a voicemail.
My heart dropped when I realized the course I took did not transfer. I feel like hope isn't lost, but worst case scenario I can reapply for Summer 2018 and hope for the best.
I'm the same situation as you. I have emailed the registrars office to find out. I have to take 1 class which I can take a mini course for. But the mini session doesn't end until 01/10/18 and UTSON starts on 01/9/18
I found the class I need at a mini session in San Jacinto Community College.. Their mini session ends on 1/5. HCC ends it on 1/10. I was kicking myself because there was a round of classes that just started on 10/23, but it is too late now to sign up.

There was no way to know what classes would transfer because they sent out the evaluations so late. Yes HCC's winter session ends on 01/10/17. I will have to go through the whole admission process with another community college so I don't consider that an option for me I'll keep you posted once I hear from them.
I got a response from them already. I'm missing the Lifespan Growth and Development course, but I have a prior Bachelor in Psychology. I took a course PSYC 321 Developmental Psychology, which I believed to be equivalent. They are asking me to send them a copy of the syllabus from the course I took, so I am working on getting that now. Try asking if you are able to submit the syllabus. Maybe this way they can take a closer look to see if it is equivalent or not. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I know you have two weeks to pay it or they will drop you
