I haven't seen a topic for the UT Health Fall 2018 program, so here it is!

I am applying for the fall with following stats:

Prereq GPA 3.65

Science GPA 4.00

HESI (just took it last Friday):

Reading 90

Vocab 92

I am making a career shift with a BS in Chemistry that I got from UH Downtown.

Good luck everyone!

Well, if we don't hear anything today, try to enjoy the Memorial Weekend!

"Try" buwhahaha. I was so determined we would have found out by now. The anxiety keeps getting worse!

Anybody hear anything yet?

so much for hearing before Memorial weekend ..

This sucks! I hope you guys have a tolerable weekend. This teaches me to never assume anything, ever. Again.

Hello guys I got accepted for the summer term 2018 and have just started school on May 21st. If y'all have any questions let me know! Just wanting to offer a hand since I know it can be scary going into it not knowing anything :)

Good luck to you all!

Congrats! And thank you for coming on here to offer your help.

What is your schedule like? Will it be similar in the fall?

Also, how is the work load? Difficult too handle???

Hello! Thank you and of course!

So since it is summer we have 3 weeks less than a regular semester but the hours are pretty similar to spring and fall.

Monday's I go to Health Assessment from 8am-9ish then we have 3 different lab times. I got the lab slot from 11-1. So I have a 2 hour break inbetween.

Tuesday's we have care from 8-12 then we are released. Wednesday's we have pharm and patho. This is the hardest day because it is from 8-12 with an hour break for lunch then patho from 1-3:45. Thursday's we currently have off and fridays we have skills lab from 8-12 (which will turn into your clinicals 6 weeks into the j1 (which is junior year one, freshman basically) program semester). 6 weeks into the program you will either have clinicals on Thursday, Friday or Saturday (10 hour shifts starting at 6). Sorry that is so much to explain!

So far, the work load is manageable. I came from San Jac so if anything, I haven't really had a huge work load. Really no homework assignments except for a few things but I've studied quite a bit! I know it will get harder as weeks go by.

Keep your faith up because my stats really weren't that great! I will share them if somebody wants to know but since this message is already so long I'll leave it here :)

Whoops I meant to quote this but the reply is above!

Wow so you guys are pretty busy all week! I'm asking because I need to know how many days a week I'd be gone from home since I have a baby.

How do you feel about the student environment at UTHSC? Are students really competitive? Or does it feel like a big family?

And if you remember them, I'm sure we'd all love to hear your stats! Lol
