UT Health Pacesetter BSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I haven't seen a topic for the UT Health Fall 2018 program, so here it is!

I am applying for the fall with following stats:

Prereq GPA 3.65

Science GPA 4.00

HESI (just took it last Friday):

Reading 90

Vocab 92

Grammar 84

Math 96

AP 100

I am making a career shift with a BS in Chemistry that I got from UH Downtown.

Good luck everyone!

I have been denied a total of 5 times, 3 at ut health.

Im not giving up. I plan on applying to ut health again.

Does anyone know if having taken the hesi more than 2 times is an automatic disqualification? I have taken it three times over a period of 6 years because different schools have different requirements.

I asked them before out of curiosity and was told that you are only allowed to take the HESI two times in total in order to apply for UT. Someone else told me that they will not look at applications that have attempted the HESI more than twice.

You should try calling and asking anyway.

Hello everyone! Does anyone know how to send the HESI transcript to UT Health?? I took the test at HCC and I couldn't change the school code to send it to UT health directly.

Also here are my stats

Overall GPA 3.0 (Bachelor's in Public Health)

Science GPA 3.5

HESI Overall 90.29

-Reading 92

-Grammar 90

-Vocab 92

-English 91

-A&P 88

-Math 90

You have to request your transcripts to be sent to UT through elsevier (it'll cost about 15 dollars). The processing time is 7-10 days. It took them 8 days to send my scores to UT. You should do this as soon as you can because the deadline is in 6 days.

I dont think it disqualifies you but I know they will not accept any scores after the 2nd one you took and im 90% sure they look at the most recent of those 2 even if you did better the first time.

Im actually a current student at UTH so if yall have any questions feel free to ask!

Hello everyone! This is my first time applying to UT Health (or any nursing schools for that matter).

Here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.84

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

Science GPA: 4.0

Hesi Overall: 90.80

Reading: 92.00

Grammar: 90.00

Vocab: 90.00

Math: 94.00

A&P: 88.00

I was a little nervous about my Hesi A&P score so I scheduled to retake it this Monday. I read that if you use their code the scores get sent to them automatically, I hope that's true because we're only 5 days away from the deadline.

Also, I've taken all the science prereqs but Chemistry, which I'm still taking this semester, along with Stats, Ethics, and Nutrition. I hope that doesn't count against me. I do have the required 60 credit hours of prereqs, though.

Anyways, good luck everyone!

That's a really good HESI score; I would not worry about retaking it considering your GPA!

So I went ahead retook the Hesi this afternoon since I had already paid to schedule it. I'm really glad I did because I was able to raise my score quite a bit. Here are my new stats:

Hesi Overall: 94.00

Hi y'all! I recently got denied for Summer 2018 @ UTH. This was my first time applying at UTH with about 50+ credit hours done, including all my sciences. I also did not receive a transcript evaluation.

My stats:

Science GPA: 3.75 (1 B in A&P1 from dual credit in highschool)

Overall GPA: 3.74

Nursing Prereq GPA: 3.85

Hesi Overall: 88.0%

Reading: 90%

Grammar: 84%

Vocab: 84%

A&P: 84%

Math: 98%

To reapply, all I have to do is fill in and pay for another application right?

Hi! Welcome to the team. Your stats look great; probably second time will be the charm! Will you apply to anywhere else? Is UT Health your first choice?

I wonder how many applicants UT Health had for the Summer 2018...

To reapply, all I have to do is fill in and pay for another application right?

And yes, the only thing UT Health is requesting, if you are reapplying, is the application fee. Everything else will rollover to your new application.
