UT Health Cizik Summer 2023 Pacesetter BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

So I am interested in applying for the Summer 2023 Pacesetter program. My HESI score was 95.6 and my GPA is 3.38

Does anyone know if this will be a good enough score to get accepted?

I also work for memorial hermann as a telemetry technician and by the time the program starts I will be doing it for about a year.

Would I be better off retaking the Summer classes I didn't do well on?

Specializes in CNA, BLS, Phleb.

I've been rapisciously searching this website to find any scores that I could compare mine to as well. From what I am seeing as far HESI scores are concerned there is a wide range. And the for the GPAs, The ones I've seen seem to be all at least above 3.4. I had a 92.6 on the HESI with a 3.7 GPA. I would say if you can bump your GPA up a bit, it wouldn't hurt.

when yall took your HESI, what sections were required? I was originally going to apply for the fall semester, but I want to avoid the bio and chem sections. Did yalls have a bio and chem section?

As far as GPA, I have seen people get in with as low as a 3.2. They do look at applications holistically. Given you have patient care experience, I would not give up! Good luck!

Hey y’all,

Im new to this thread, and was looking into applying for the Spring/ fall program also and noticed that for the fall they will be requiring more sections for the HESI. I’m currently in the process of studying for It do y’all have any advise or study materials y’all used that helped you ?

So just a heads-up, I received a rejection letter and was curious (my GPA for prerequisites is a 3.5, Science 3.7, HESI 92.4 (80% in RC). I talked with the registrar office and they told me that they calculate ALL grades - even the ones that you got grade replaced (original and replacement). So in their minds, I got a 3.0, even though I grade replaced a class I did poorly in when I was 18 (now 33).

Wow I cant believe It. Usually programs would disregard the lower grade, and count the higher one. Now I’m even more nervous to apply ?

Hey y’all just took my HESI today :,) Cumulative is 90.8% - I got a 78 on reading comprehension so not feeling too great. All my other HESI sections are above 90 too…  My GPA is 3.4 while my science GPA is 3.88 so hopefully that might pull me through? I’m trying my best to not feel discouraged, fingers crossed we all get in!

Hello everyone! I am taking the HESI A2 Remote Exam with Elsevier. Has anyone taking it, if so what was your score and how did you study?

I am extremely nervous.

Hi everyone,

I have an application in for Summer 2023. I just want to confirm that for the HESI we didn’t need Biology or Chemistry sections for this semester’s application.

I took it in person because I heard a lot of people experienced issues with taking it remotely. I got a 97.6% overall. Elsevier has a study guide you can purchase.

Did you get in with those scores?

Does anyone know how long it takes them to receive the HESI score and transcript? I took mine two days ago, and they have yet to receive it.
