UT Arlington RN-BSN, web-based?

Any RNs start this program in the last year or so? How do you like it? I'm considering it and would love some feedback!

It's actually pretty good. I just finished the program a month ago, and I think it's just like any other nursing program, they make you sweat it with papers and assignments just to be able to come through with it. They were making some major changes with the program, so sometimes it was quite chaotic. I think my group was the first group to go through these changes, a little bit chaos is understandable. They actually removed the practicum part of health assessment off the course, which was good, cause it sounded to be quite a nuisance. Most of the instructors are super nice, and they helped us with lots of things. I would recommend it.

Is it hard to squeeze in 16 weeks worth of material into 5 weeks? That's what's concerning me at the moment. I'm trying to decide between this school and TWU.

I think the better way to put it is they designed the courses so that the most important/essential content fits in 5 weeks. For example, in my Health Assessment class, because all of us were RNs already, the professor emphasized certain things that were important and just had a quick talk over other things. My focus was constantly shifted every 5 weeks, and I like it. I would rather get the most important materials in 5 weeks and get done with it than drag myself for 16 weeks in the same class. But that was just me. I also believe you get out what you put in. I don't know anybody who did it at TWU so I can't tell you much about the difference between the 2 programs.

I really appreciate your input. I have a lot to think about when it comes to picking between UT Arlington and TWU's online program!!! :uhoh3:

I just started about 4 weeks ago...I love it. It seems to be very good and very well laid out. Only web based. No complaints.

Really? Awesome. How is the work load? Is it easy... is it manageable?

Thanks so much for your words. I need every little bit of help to decide if I should attend this school.
