Hi Everyone!

Glad to find the group here! I'm applying the Adult/Gerontology Program. It's pretty close to the deadline, and I still haven't finished my applications yet. So stressful! 

I have some questions of prerequisite courses: I understand that we can finish our prerequisite courses by December 2021, right? Then how to finish the prerequisite form?

Did the application for ApplyTexas closed? I don't see Summer 2022

Hi! From my understanding at least 5 prerequisites need to be completed by the end of December 2021 (including Human Anatomy and Microbiology). I received an email that said to list current classes (Fall 2021) as IP (in progress) under grade and for any Spring 2022 classes to fill out everything except the grade.

This tripped me up earlier! ApplyTexas is updating their website and the Summer 2022 application is available on the new website at https://goapplytexas.org/

Thank you, Katie! I am about to take the prerequisite course on Portage and Straighterline since they are self,-paced, hope they could work.

Another question about submitting documents, I see there is a "Additional current or future courses", what is this for?

@Zhu Katrina I'm taking a couple of the courses through Portage right now!

I'm not sure about the "current or future courses" option in the upload menu. I listed all of my current/future courses in the ApplyTexas application (and the prereq. check list) and UT hasn't requested documentation for those yet. ?‍♀️

Does anyone know if they’re doing interviews for applicants that move forward?

@maria011 They do interviews. From what I’ve been able to find, it sounds like in recent years applicants received interview invitations in late November or December.

When I applied last year, we got invited for interviews in December. I interviewed in January and then heard back beginning of February :)

@Darius Evans I was reading this thread and had a question. Why won't you be able to practice anywhere but Texas going through the AE-MSN program? I'm just starting to look into this program so I'm curious. Thanks
