Hi everyone,
I didn't see a thread for this yet so I wanted to start a place for those who have applied the the University of South Florida FNP program starting fall 2021. Previous applicants/accepted students please feel free to comment on the process for you!
thanks!
Hello Everyone. I applied back in November 2020, and I got all of my requirements completed at the end of December. I was offered an interview, which I conducted last week on 01/28/2021. The interview seemed to go well and I was told that there was a committee that has to review the applicants and I should hear something in about 2-4 weeks. I have not heard anything yet and I have been told that the decisions are usually made quickly. :(
I applied for the BSN-DNP program as a full time student. She told me to email her if I had not heard anything by 2 weeks. Should I wait until next week and send an email? Or should I just stand by and hope/pray/pull my hair out/ check my email 9999999999 times?
Also, assuming I get in, I look foward to working with you all.

I had my interview yesterday and was told 2-4 weeks also. I would give it another week and then email her. Let me know if hear anything.

Mine interview was 20-30 min., over the phone. System was down. Two days latter I received my letter of acceptance. My advice wiil be you to wait untill Monday. Wish you all the best.

Well, mine was informal too. I would give it another week and then email USF. Let me know if hear anything. Btw, was it for full time, or part time program? Just curios ?
I’m not sure how they determine who does and doesn’t interview but not everyone has to. And I’m not sure how they determine how quickly they give a decision or not. I have my interview was on 1/21 and I still have no decision ?. She said if I didn’t hear anything within 3-4 weeks to email her. It does make me a little nervous but holding our hope

Yup, agree 100%. Definitely it matters with who you interview with. Probably, if there are many candidates, all faculty members are involved during the recruitment proces.

I always keep my hopes up. Aside from USF I applied to 2 other Universities. When I was thinking nothing will happen, just yesterday I received an other letter of acceptance. After 4 weeks from an interview. You never know.

Hi, I had an interview for Pediatric DNP, full time. Easy though. Don't worry to much ? You will be fine. I don't know about other specialties.
