Hi There! I thought I would start a thread for those of us applying for USF's Non-RN MSN CNL program for Summer 2016.
Best of luck to everyone!
Hey everyone! Thanks so much for making a FB group! For some reason when I search for it, I can't find the group....any chance it's showing up under a different name or something? Thanks!!
Try to see if this link works: USF MSN CNL Cohort 22
I just want to keep this topic alive and encourage fellow classmates to join our FB group. Finding room mates, sharing ideas, and getting pumped up for the start of our summer program will help contribute to our overall joy and success in grad school. Again don't be shy, we have a few participants in the fb group and we'd really like to meet the rest of our future classmates! Have a great week everyone!! Cheers
illy1991 I hope that freed up spot is handed over to you! Is this your first time applying? What is your background like (healthcare experience, gpa, life experience, etc.)? I know how emotionally tense applying for graduate school is, "we are all walking the walk". So i'll be praying for your success in these coming days!! Trust me I want those bricks off your shoulders :) Cheers
Thanks Nurse2b! That is very kind of you to say. This is my first time applying and I'm just hoping for the best to all waitlisters. I think we all are somewhat competitive or else we wouldn't be applying lol more just a matter of preparing all of our strengths to where admissions committees truly get a sense of who you are and why you want to complete nursing at that specific school. This is tough when there is no interview I think. But thanks for all the support on this page. It has been grueling, especially because my current job keeps adding on more and more intensive work. I currently am doing clinical research in palo alto and it's just been really stressful to the point where I am dying to get into school so I can leave! Cheers to maybe good news soon!:)

Jmvee, I just finished sending you a message, you should be able to read it despite not being able to respond back via the forum. I'm actually looking at living costs right now, I found a cool studio for $825, and a 1 bed 1 bath apartment for $900 proximal to the main campus. I am totally interested in having at least 1 room mate, like I said my only flaw is that i cook good food, I keep my bathrooms very clean, and I love to watch soccer religiously every saturday & sunday morning and I've already found a few english and Irish pubs were I could watch the games! I think finding an apartment for under $1k will be more economical than living on campus with those rates from the link (thank you btw). I think this is an important subject for everyone who isn't local living with family or friends.
I forgot to mention I plan on taking a short international medical mission trip before the start of our program so if any future classmates or Socal friends want to join me hit me up and we'll knock out some patient assessment skills while improving the quality of life for underserved communities.
