USF Non-RN MSN Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there! I thought I would start a thread for anyone applying to University of SF for the Non-RN MSN program for Fall of 2016. I haven't seen any threads (that I know of). I was not accepted to the Summer 2016 cohort, so I thought that it may not hurt to try again. I heard the Orange County campus is a little easier to get in, but not sure about this. It would be nice to see everyone's stats as well!

Good luck to us all!

Congrats @stasha_nicole!!!! What number did you call? I don't think I have the courage to call haha

I worked in a cardiac resource center, I worked at Harvard School of Public Health, and I worked as an ambulatory Services Representative at Children's Hospital in Boston, MA. Please don't get discouraged, anything is possible! You're grades are impressive and people might not decide to move forward if they are accepted!

Congrats @stasha_nicole!! Ah I'm on the same boat, no courage to call but I'm so anxious I might just do it. I already checked my online status and it didn't say anything. No news is good news?

Forget it, I'm calling. I've been practically waiting all day since looking at other cohorts they were called but this time we do? Haha

Edit:

I called and it went to voicemail twice. They must know. Haha. Which number did you call? I dialed in the graduate admissions for nursing.

Oh my goodness! Very impressive and well deserved! :)

Edit : I called too. i think the office closes at 4pm? I got transferred to Ingrids voicemail

For all of you that know the status of your application, whether it be accepted, wait listed, or declined-what does your actual application say? Has it changed from submitted?

I tried calling yesterday but just got Ingrid's voicemail. I'm trying to wait patiently, but I am slightly dying on the inside.

@karenara no that is horrible! I had that happen to me for my undergrad with UCSD, it was traumatizing and disheartening because I was actually rejected; but waitlist still isn't bad ! Perhaps someone may give their spot seeing that this program isn't for them? Keep on believing! You have an outstanding GPA & experience as well, you should be definitely on the top of their wait list!

Also, did she mention if waitlist letters were sent out as well; or was it just acceptances? Did rejections only get emails this time around too?

Don't know if you could tell, but I'm anxiously waiting as well. I missed Ingrid when I called then and now basically waiting for my mail, yet again, like undergrad. Hah. How I did not miss this feeling.

My status is still "to be reviewed". And I have no idea about letters, I did not receive anything for being wait listed. I only found out by getting in touch with Ingrid. But I do believe you should be receiving a letter in the mail if you are accepted

Congrats @stasha_nicol!!!

My dad just told me that I got a letter in the mail from the school, but I've been out of town so I don't know what the verdict is. I'm thinking that I have been placed on the waitlist because I have read in past forums that you get a big envelope if you get accept + a phone call (or just one), a regular envelope if you're waitlisted, and just an e-mail notification if you're rejected. Good luck to everyone!!

Congrats Stasha_nicole

I got a letter today in my mail and am placed on the waitlist....so @nae123 is right that a regular envelope is waitlisted....Good luck to all and congrats for those who got accepted.

Alright- everyone go check your application!! My admission was there! Woohoo! I will be formally accepting my spot and enrolling in USF. Can't wait to meet everyone in August!!

edit: if you have been accepted search for the Facebook group: USF CNL OC Fall 2016 and request to add it! Can't wait to meet you all!

Congrats @mo_f, very exciting! Can't wait to meet!

@stasha_nicole congrats to you too!! If you have Facebook, add the group so we can chat!
