USF MSN CNL non nurse spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone, I was looking for a blog and didn't see one for the next cohort at USF and decided to create one. I think it would be really helpful to be in touch with other students applying. Let's discuss and stay in touch through this process =)

Ok sounds good! I got freaked out for a second lol So you do have time to change your recommender, good luck! If you have any questions, I'll be here..

Hi,

Sorry for the late response mine is Education, Volunteer, Certifications, and Professional Experience. Which location are you applyiing to?

I was told you want to receive the letters y Novemeber/December. They send most of the rejections in the first 8 weeks! Best wishes to everyone =)

Mine is in a different order. But just to confirm, can I submit my application before my last recommender sends in their portion??? I am waiting for one recommender to submit the letter.

Hello all, I was accepted for the Summer 18 in SF campus, so if you have questions let me know!!! :D

Do you know some of the stats of your cohort/ did they all have a lot of background experience in healthcare? Also, how are you liking the program(both positive and negative experiences!)

Thanks so much!

It varied, some had lots and a few had no or little experience. Many people were volunteering to gain some experience or work in health related background. But we do have a couple of people that have no previous experience. I will pm you my email.

I applied for Spring 2019 (USF OC campus)! Already soooo anxious!

Can you talk about some stats from your cohort? And what admissions is looking for in the application? Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I also applied for the MSN program at USF OC Campus. I'm nervous but I'm so happy it is over and done with.

Does anyone know when school would actually start? I know it's in January, but I would love to know a specific date!

Wishing us all the best!

What are some of your guys stats? Just to get a feel of who is applying this round!

Hi all!

I'm also curious to hear peoples' academic, volunteer, and paid healthcare experience. I know that there's no use in comparing stats as it will only drive us crazy, but here we are.

Undergrad: 3.3

Prereq: 4.0

Volunteer: Cedars-Sinai TCAB 100 hours

I know there are a bunch of CNAs and EMTs that go through these programs, but I figured I'd start in paid experience in my own way. I was interested in phlebotomy, so I got my CDPH CPT1 license in August. I'm currently working at a wellness clinic doing blood draws full time, but it's only been a month. I wish I had more than just a month in paid healthcare, but it is what it is.
