USF MSN CNL non nurse spring 2018

Published

Hello everyone. I was searching for a thread but could not find one so I am starting this discussion topic for USF MSN non nurse spring 2018 applications.

Lets all discuss our stats like GPA, volunteer experience, etc. I have a decent prerequisite GPA right now. I have registered for Micro and psychology and will be taking in fall. My undertgrad GPA is 3.15 in computer applications (not that good). After working in customer service I was no longer interested in computers so decided to change my major.

Lets start this journey together and good luck to everyone.

Hello all! Not sure if anyone is checking this page anymore but I just found out I got in off the waitlist for the OC campus!!! AHHH! I can't believe it! I accepted the offer and am so thrilled, but I am a bit nervous about FAFSA, etc. Can anyone tell me if it's too late to get aid?? Of course I will call their financial aid office tomorrow and ask, but if anyone has advice for me tonight that would calm my nerves I would so appreciate it! Looking forward to meeting you guys. :)

Is anyone still on the waitlist for the SF campus and is reapplying for Summer 2018? I've been trying to cancel my application since January 5th, in order to reapply by the January 15 deadline. I have emailed and called but still haven't heard a follow up yet.. is anyone running into the same problem?

Hello Everyone,

I just applied to the summer 2018 program. I wanted to see if anyone has a tip/recommendation while waiting for acceptance or denial.

Does anyone know if there is a thread for the summer 2018 program? I couldn't find it in the search.

Hi! I don't know if this is where I should ask, but I've just been accepted to cohort 26 and have some questions about the BLS training. Did any of you do it online or is this solely an in-person training?

Congratulations!! I would do it in person, at least that's how I'm doing mine. Think it would be more hands on and beneficial. Idk if the school has a preferred way though, sorry.

Congrats!! You have to do it through AHA and the testing/skills portion must be in person. I did a hybrid class that gave me a certificate to bring to the skills portion and then completed my skills on another day. Hope this helps!

Thank you both! I signed up for an in person class with AHA :)

One more question, was your course $125 total? ($100 for the skills session and $25 for the online)? It just seems so unclear...

You're welcome.

The cost of my course is $80 I'm on the east coast.

I'm not 100% on how much it costed total but it definitely wasn't over $100. I want to say mine was around $80 as well.
