I was looking through the site and realized there was no place for USF Fall '12 applicants. Just wanted to know who was applying and for what program?
Good luck to everyone!
Fuel4life- I did purchase a Littmann Cardiology III stethoscope. That one is a bit more expensive more the clarity is great. A lot of nurses have the Master Classic II SE and say that it is fine. So the choice is yours. I did get mine engraved because I have heard that stethoscopes like to "walk off" I figure that no one will want to have a Raspberry colored stethoscope with someone else's name engraved on it.
The Nursing Medical Form and the Background check information has not been sent yet. They are changing the forms and company used for the background check. We will get an email and plenty of time to get everything completed.
fuel4life- If you bought the Cardiology III, there is a free student accessory kit that you can send away for. I received the card from AllHeart.com but here is a link showing the card that I had to send back in with a copy of my student id and receipt.
You receive a Introduction to Heart Sounds CD, an extra set of Littmann Snap Tight soft0sealing ear tips and an engravable ID tag.
I received my stethoscope in the mail yesterday and it is amazing. I love that the CardiologyIII model comes with both small and large ear tips. The sound quality is amazing! It is a bit uncomfortable on the ears but it is new. I also have a Littmann Select that I use to take my husband's BP and it put too much pressure on my ears at first too. Hopefully the break in period will be short.
Where is everyone thinking of living? I found a couple places close to campus I like and am thinking of signing a lease Wed. before orientation. The only thing is most places offer 12 mos leases and we'll be graduating Dec 2014, right? So we would need a 16 month lease, but I really don't want to pay $75-100 more a month for the special lease length. Was curious what everyone else is doing with their living situation?

Actually upper division students entering this fall will be graduating in July of 2014. Second degree students will be graduating in December of 2013.

if anyone else is interested, [color=#0000ee]allheart.com has littmann stethoscopes on sale right now. they also offer engraving on the chest piece and your name added to the tubing for an minimal fee. i figure with all the colleges & universities having students starting their nursing programs in the fall, it might be a good idea to get a jump on buying one.
