Not sure if there's a University of San Francisco CNL (MSN for non-nurse) thread started for Spring 2011 applicants. Here it is!
I'm sorry to hear about that UC but at least you know what you are doing now and can move on. I've been waiting to hear from USF and still no news. I am stuck in this limbo and it is making me crazy. I come home everyday and the first thing i check is the mail..Has anyone heard from USF or received anything via mail?!
Hi all! to those who have not been accepted, don't despair- that was me last term I applied. I improved my application, and have now been accepted.
For those who are accepted, congratulations! I was wondering how many of you will be needed to look for housing? We could exchange emails, or make a facebook group so we could all connect! I look forward to meeting you all :)
I'm new to allnurses.com! I've been following the threads for the USF CNL 2011 cohort... Question: What types of loans are you considering, if you are in need of financial support? I've been looking at so many different options via banks... all of which don't seem to have fair interest rates, etc. Can we brain storm together? Many thanks - BlueSunRise
Just wanted to let those on the waitlist know that today was the last day to accept USF's offer into their CNL program. I called just now to let them know that I will NOT be attending afterall. They will be extending offers to those on the waitlist as early as tomorrow from what I understand. Good luck!
Good luck to all those who are waitlisted. This is my second time applying to USF- I was rejected last year. I applied while a senior in college, and really needed to raise my GPA. I also had nutrition and second semester A & P to finish. I improved my GPA, took a couple summer courses and started working in healthcare. The hard work paid off this time. I also called and had the admissions rep review my application and how to improve. Good thing is, USF accepts several times per year.

Exactly, I completely agree with you! I am perfectly fine with the waitlist position, because I know everything happens for a reason. I am starting my CNA classes next semester, and I'm pretty stoked. I just love the field of nursing so much, that I'm willing to wait it out, pay my dues, and face all the challenges ahead. Good luck at SM! I'm going to be applying to that school again as well.
