USF ABSN Fall 2023

Published

Hi everyone, I wanted to start a thread of people applying to USF's ABSN program in St. Pete this fall because I haven't seen any-- I am finishing 2 classes right now and have 1 more this Summer that will be my "in progress" class. I am cutting it close to deadlines, anyone else in that boat as well?

Oh that's crazy! They said all the spots were full yesterday... school starts on Monday LOL

I spoke with an admissions advisor today, classes will 3 days a week pretty much throughout the program. Clinicals the first semester will be 1 day a week and begin at week 7 of the semester. Semesters 2 and 3 will have 2 clinical days a week. They try to match you to clinicals near where you're living but can't guarantee it.
Just thought I'd share what I've learned!

Also we should make a chat or group for Spring!

That's so helpful, thank you! Would you mind passing along the admission advisor email you contacted? I have some questions myself LOL

I contacted (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) because I had admissions questions but I'm sure your assigned advisor could answer them too. They provided an advisors email in the deferment email! Mine for that was (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME).

There are two approved ways to create a special place for your cohort.

One: create a facebook page. This link may be posted.

Two: Premium members may create a "club" by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page. Then click on "Create A New Club" in the green bar at the top of the page, and follow instructions.

References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, to comply with the Terms of Service.

Thank you.

Awesome, thanks so much for the info!

Anyone else hate that you haven't received anything since sending in your intent to enroll for Spring 2024? The deadline is today so I hope we get a follow email of what to do next. I feel like I'm missing something LOL

Hopefully we get the onboarding packet soon! This is giving me anxiety.

I also got deferred to Spring 2024, but am still thinking about accepting. The campus / area didn't seem super nice and I am not sure of where I would look to live. I am not from Florida, do this would be a big move for me and I also got accepted into a couple other programs, so want to make sure this will be a good fit!

I just got my acceptance to university. I haven't heard yet from the nursing department. What do you think about my chances of getting accepted to Nursing? I heard the decision deadline was October 1st. I'm so anxious right now. Also, did anyone have to complete a language during undergrad or take the civics exam, maybe that's why it's taking so long. I really don't know at this point LOL
