who used, who plans to use, and are using - suzanne's plan. please i wanna hear from you.. thanks....
I definitely plan on using it (just got my Saunders book for Christmas), but I have one concern.
Part of Suzanne's plan is strictly adhering to Saunders. If I understand the plan correctly, Saunders is the only book you should use to study, period. My instructors all say the key to succeeding on NCLEX is being exposed to as many potential ?s as possible. I mean, they stress this a lot. I would also like to use Kaplan, as well, just to get that exposure to as many ?s as possible, but Suzanne advises not to. And I get the feeling her plan won't "work" if you do consult more than 1 book.
I could definitely understand only using Saunders if NCLEX only took their ?s from that book, but I highly doubt this is the case. I'm assuming Suzanne only tells us to use Saunders so we don't get overwhelmed, trying to get through 2 or 3 other prep books (either that, or she's secretly a sales rep for Saunders ).
So, Suzanne, I don't know if you come through here, but if you see this, can you address that concern? Or will all questions be answered once I subscribe to your plan? Or....have you already addressed this question elsewhere? If so, I apologize :)
can anyone tell me how to get suzanne's plan
on top of the nxlex forum there is a sticky forum entitled revised tip to suzanne's plan.it is the 1st tip. read and follow it. you must have a saunders comprehensive review to use with it. the initial phase takes about a week or more depending on how long and fast you study and answer questions.once you are done with the book and strictly followed the 1st tip contact suzanne via private message. she will reply to you and will start the next tip or next step. whole plan takes about 6 weeks after the initial plan. she will give you 100 questions to answer and study rationale everyday. give yourself atlease more than 6 weeks to prepare for nclex.
hope this helps.:monkeydance:
hi been trying to get hold of miss suzanne's study plan...is there a qualification of something to get hold of this elusive study plan? been trying to email and send private messages to ms. suzanne. She responds alright but it seems she doesn't want to share her secret anymore . Im getting desperate and worried as Im taking my nclex next year? Any ideas regarding the second part/the rest of the study plan? Would really appreciate your help.

To clear up a few things for you. My plan was originally designed for foreign nurses whose primary language is not English, and all passed the first time. Living overseas, and with a salary of less than $500 per month, most coulf only afford the one book...........
My reasoning for only one book is that the rationales are more important than the questions themselves, that is why you must review the rationale for each and every answer. The idea is not to memorize questions, but to understand what NCLEX is looking for in an answer. NCLEX is not interested in all of the patho-phys that you had in school, or even math calculations, as you have been tested over and over again on both. They want to know that you will make good choices in your decisions. Think of the exam as being 100% common sense with the ABCs thrown in.
It is that simple.
------------------------
When the rationales differ significantly, it causes more issue for the student. And many that contact me that did not get thru it a first time were the ones that have the pile of books and jumped all over and did not stay focused. And the ones that pass my program are the ones that stick to the one book. It does the best job of explaining the rationales.........and that is the most important in preparing.
Your choice as to what to do, but if more than one book, then you are not following my program.

I keep stating over and over that I do not save pms or e-mails. If all of the information is not included, then you do not get added to my list. And that goes for anyone.
My plan is sent by e-mail, and many times it is not even included...I do not have time to look up each and every one.
The second part only comes from me, and cannot be shared among others.

I've had the same experience although I've pm'd her with my email 3 times. She didnt seem to want to share with me because she didnt know who I was. So I politely introduced myself. Hopefully that helps. Plus, it is the holidays so she is probably busy with family and friends.
I have no doubt Suzanne will let us know if she's not sharing her plan anymore.
I'm sure she's still sharing...on Dec. 17th she posted a revision to her first tip, it's at the top of this forum. Her pm box is very full as she gets alot of requests...she also has a regular job as a working nurse. Suzanne sends her study plan out by mass e-mail about every 2 weeks. According to her instructions she needs your e-mail, which test (RN or PN), & you will need at least 6 weeks to complete the guide. She also says to give it 2 weeks after pming...if you haven't heard from her by then, pm again. If you have enough time before testing, she will do her absolute best to get the study plan to you. The only qualifications that I know of is that she prefers you be finished with school or at least close (I tried to get it before I graduated & she asked me to pm again later), completed the first tip, & have at least 6 weeks before your test date. Hope this helps...good luck to all! :)
i'm almost done with "the first tip"..
