hey friends, I am new here. I was feeling really low so I am looking for someone I can connect with. I was a cardiac theatre nurse for 7 years . recently moved to another country , but now I am not in cardiac anymore... I tried a lot to adjust but every time I pass across cardiac theatre I miss my old team and my old job.
I was promised a job in cardiac theatre and that is the reason I came here. feels like I made a mistake.
any suggestions guys , what do I do ? should I stay here and learn other surgeries or should I go back to the job I love so much.

Are they saying why they haven't moved you into cardiac cases yet? I'd start there if you haven't already

Likely because it appears OP wasn't hired for cardiac, it's a separate team in the majority of facilities, and positions don't open often.
OP, only you can decide whether it's worth it to stick it out at your current job, gain some experience (nursing does differ country to country), develop a work reputation with your employer, and wait for a position on the cardiac team to apply for or take your chances looking elsewhere for a designated cardiac position.
The way I read the OP is that they were hired for cardiac...
Promised doesn't always equal reality. What was the written job offer? I wouldn't be surprised if there was no specified surgical specialty.
yes my friends , you are right... it looks like it was a false promise made by the recruiting agency . hospital HR says that since I am in this country on a contract base , I wont b allocated in a particular theatre, ...... if only I knew about this before I wouldn't have come here.....

This is wrong of them to do you like that. I have been fooled by a job too. about three years ago. I stayed fulltime for 3 months then went PRN and quit after 8.
