USD Fall 2019 MEPN

Hello All!

I have yet to see anything related to the USD MEPN Fall 2019 program, so I thought I'd start a post! How is the application process going for all that are interested?

Does anyone know approximately how many students are admitted to the program??

I was of course nervous for the interview but i did make a couple of mistakes. I answered the questions well, but at the end i was asked if i had anything to add. I spoke about how excited for the program i was, and she addressed a couple of things and the timer went off. I don't remember asking questions! ?. Do you guys do anything following the interview? How did everyone's interview go?

I asked a few questions after my interview, but I don’t think that will make or break you! We asked so many questions within the two days, I’m sure they understand.

I feel that my interview went well, I just will have to wait and see if it was well enough to stand above others. It was nice to meet everyone — there were a lot of very nice and smart applicants!

Did anyone get an idea of when we should hear back? I’ve heard a couple different things, i.e., after February 14th, March 1st, and mid-March.

I was told a range. Mid to late march, also there will be a wait list if not immediately accepted. I was 9AM so they may have been developing a consensus as to a range... Thank you Bk94. Staircase logic after an interview can eat at you the more you want something. You have a healthy attitude.

Hi everyone!

I wasn't able to make it to the physical interviews because of work, but I did have a Zoom interview with Professor Puhek. I thought it went really well and I felt confident in all of my answers. Has anyone applied anywhere else?

One email said by March 1st but the past few years it was even earlier than that. It was so nice meeting everyone! I think everyone always looks back on an interview wishing they had said more or said things differently than they did. Asking questions definitely won't make or break it, they have the rest of the application to keep in mind too ?

Hey guys! Just a heads up that I think decisions might be posted on the USD portal! I just checked mine and there was a new tab saying "admitted". I didn't get an email or anything, but hopefully its true!!!

I think so too! congrats! we should start a facebook page when we get the official acceptance in the mail :)
