USC Versant New Grad RN Residency Program April 2023

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi,

I applied for USC's new grad program when it opened yesterday (1/9/23). Within several hours my application changed from 'under review' to 'under consideration'. For those who currently work there or have been through the process, when is the approximate time their hiring team would get back to you?

Thank you and Happy New Year!

I received an email today from HR saying that I need to resubmit my application.

Anyone else had this email? What was your format looks like? I am sure I followed the format but I cant really find out what is wrong with the submitted application...!?

I also received the same email! The instructions on the actual application versus on the site were slightly different so it was a bit confusing for me. Can someone give insight on how they uploaded their documents properly?

Were you able to get in touch with HR or someone who is responsible for this? I tried to reach out to the HR recruiter who sent us the email, he is not responding at all LOL. Like how they want us to fix it when we don't know where we made the mistakes.... I just hope someone who applied/received invite come up and clarify this for us.

Hello!

For the application, I combined Resume > CV > Personal Statement > 2 LOR (in this order) into one PDF file, and I uploaded it to the "Resume/CV" section of the application.

For the "Work Experience" section in the application, I copied the information from my resume over to the application ... it is repetitive, but I did it to make the application look complete.

Thank you. Actually that's what exactly I did and I was so confused the reason why they thought it was so wrong. The only thing I did different could be attaching licenses at the very end after LORs. But I guess they do not want to see my licenses? LOL... thanks for letting us know! I hope I really get this opportunity.

The HR rep seems he is not really interested clarifying stuff for us so imma just send him the completed pdf and let him know that I followed the instruction.

yeah I believe they just want you to include the required documents listed on the website. Therefore, attaching your license or other documents might be why they want you to resubmit the app.

I wish you good luck! Hopefully, HR will give you some clarification and a call for an interview!

Thank you so much! I will continue to update here as well?

OMG sm thank you for this! So I'm assuming unofficial transcripts aren't required in the PDF?

I did my app based on the job posting and it didn't required an unofficial transcript so I did not included it.
I understand why you included the unofficial transcripts because it does said that on their information website regarding new grad training, which is kinda confusing. But yeah, I just followed what they asked on the usc job post. Hopefully you will hear back from them soon after resubmitting! GOOD LUCK!!

Yeah, my file was less than 5mb. You can actually check how big your pdf file is on your laptop before submitting.

Hi everyone! I had my interview last week (2/10), and I haven't heard back yet. I was wondering how long will it take to hear back, and if anyone has heard back yet? Thanks!
