USAGPAN 2021

Published

This thread is super early but I want to create a spot for USAGPAN 2021 applicants to share our journey! I’m mostly posting this thread now to spread the word about Iowa Central Community College’s Intro to Organic and Biochem online course - CHM 130. This option was a lifesaver (read: time and money saver) for me and I have to pay it forward. I checked with the Baylor liaison and the course fulfills the chemistry requirement. The only prerequisite is Intro to Chemistry I. I hope this helps someone and I’m looking forward to the upcoming application year!

Don’t lose hope! Lots of physicals to be completed. If you can’t pass the physical there is nothing usagpan can do

To my knowledge I have no outstanding waivers or ETPs and I’ve cleared my physical. If someone does drop off I should be a go, but now I just have to wait and see. Do you know if they run it like a standard military school Mikey and you could find out a few days before that the slot opened up if you can go? Or is there an earlier deadline since commissioning has to take place?

They usually will give a deadline. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, they really don’t like to give waivers to board without a physical so I personally would expect them to want something reasonably fast.

MikeyD since you seem to have the full know of this then this will be official acceptance to the program then? Or is there a chance that we are picked up by the boar and not Baylor? This year is confusing since we didn’t hear from Baylor first!?

I don’t want to answer that question outright because I don’t know for fact. In my mind I think “how could the army oml people without Baylor providing a list of who they selected”...... I’m just kind of reading between the lines. I’d say if you were selected by the army you should feel pretty comfortable ?

Thanks brother! That was my thought but feels good to hear it from someone who seems to have a better understanding of this than me!

Hey everyone! I’ve been following this thread for ages and haven’t posted. I just found out I got selected by the Army as well! My recruiter said her recruit last year got selected by the Army and not accepted by Baylor because his GRE was 299. So it sounds like as long as you meet all the admission criteria you should get accepted by Baylor! Hopefully we hear from Baylor soon! ?
