USAGPAN 2020

Published

Hello all,

I've been cruising this forum for some time now and wanted to start up a USAGPAN 2020 application thread. Who else is applying for FY2020 or thinking about applying? Best of luck to everyone!!! I know the application with Baylor barely opened (Feb 1st) I'm pending my GRE and CCRN. I have 2.5 years ICU the last year being at a level one trauma center in Los Angeles. I Already passed MEPS (what a relief and different experience) and am now getting my LORs in order.

Cheers to all....lets make this happen!!!

Hello all! I too was accepted for the 2020 start. I do not have a facebook. I was wondering if anyone has received official orders? My recruiter out of Nashville is horrendous. The guy won’t respond to me. My whole recruiting process has been a nightmare. I am so afraid the ball will be dropped and somehow I won’t be able to start with the cohort.

congratulations!

I havent heard anything, and yesterday my recruiter said they hadnt heard anything either. Ive heard a lot of recruiters are not the best communicators.. If you want to text me (two ten, two59, 62fifty one) i can let you know when I hear something.

Speaking for most of the FY19 direct commission cohort, we didn't receive our orders until December. I didn't actually swear in until late December only a few days after my orders were cut. I was in the same boat you are now. There's a lot of back and forth that HRC has to deal with and recruiters seem to be relegated to the role of messenger at this point. Recruiter not getting back to you is frustrating though and I get that - just believe that the big Army and USAGPAN do genuinely want you and are making strides to get you here!

Hey TU RN! I've got some questions for ya regarding USAGPAN! It would be great to get some help. Wanna email me or private message me? Thanks! [email protected]

I was told that there were only two slots this year for the VA. Another applicant from my VA was told that by Mrs. Johns apparently.

Hello, wanted to ask about VA route. I was considering working for VA and trying out this route. Need to retake some science courses to boost up science GPA.
I saw how competitive it is. They only have about 2-4 slots each year and you are competing with others all over US or just where you work? Also if accepted does the VA still pay you while in school or you have to quit and focus primarily on school?

From my understanding, it is 2-4 slots for VA applicants for the whole United States. As far as pay while in school, it depends on funding for that particular fiscal year you apply. It varies from year to year or different admission cycles. There should be a head contact where you check on that information. It used to be Roberta Reedy but it may be different now. You sponsored by the VA which may or may not be the VA you work for. You do not necessarily quit the VA, but of course, your obligation will be school upon admission to the program. You will work at the VA that sponsored you or wherever they have availability. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey!
