I was told August 10th as well...although my recruiter was sure to mention that it sometimes takes longer than they expect, so it could very well be the end of August/early September before we hear anything.
I think we have the same Coloradan recruiter!

We must!!...I think there is only one for Colorado and a few surrounding states. Does his last name start with a K? I feel bad for the guy...last time I saw him back in late May he seemed overwhelmed.
Yup, same guy! He said he was submitting 30 applications...eek

30 applications?! WOW! My Nor Cal recruiter only sent out 18!
Yeah, he told me the same thing...I couldn't believe it! He said he also had quite a few fully qualified applicants he was working with as well. I don't know how he remembers who is who!
Thank you jazmin.n.wallace!!! Are you applying to one of the boards?

Hello all!I'm also applying for the August NTP. I've been reading this blog for the past two weeks and thought I'd jump in and join the support. My recruiter sent my application off late but I was approved for an extension, so I'm hoping it doesn't affect my chances with this round. Everyone on here seems to have VERY competitive packets! I hope I may be chosen with with everyone else. A bit about me:-LPN 2008 and worked LTCU and med surg while goin to school for Rn-graduated BSN 2/12-started working OR 3/12-RN GPA 3.8 (cum 3.2)...wish I would have worked harder in school:/-no prior military experience. But married to military (AF)-awaiting waiver for sulfa allergyI'm also as curious as everyone else about the amount to be selected. Questions I thought about are:if there are about 3-4 bases that conduct the NTP, it's around 11 weeks long, applicants are chosen once a year (but Im not sure)-how many go to each base and how often do they have the course? -If its about 11 weeks long, then that would provide about 3 intervals of NTP training. Let's say each base has enough room for 30 students. That would allow for about 120 applicants??? -Is the selection to fill the NTP program for the whole year or just the first 11 week opening? -IF selected, when does the earliest NTP start?I hope that all makes sense. I'm just reeling all of this info in my brain as I too am wanting soooo badly to get in. I tried to call my recruiter but he is away till next week. He said we would know by the end of Aug. I put down that I could start October 2012 cuz he didn't know the soonest start date.
