Many US Expats are Veterans and members of the various VFW Posts here in the Philippines. In addition, the "Honor Degree" VFW group is "The Military Order of Cooties" and are chosen as members by their conspicuous contributions to the VFW Post and their communities. VFW Post 124 of Baguio and Pup Tent 7 of Bauang, LaUnion held a medical mission this past week deep in the Cordilleras mountain province of Benguet (famous for the Rice Terrace and Vegetable farming region of the Philippines). The story is about the VFW and its commitment to not only US Veterans, but the indigent Philippine communities as well. In addition, the University of the Cordilleras Student Nurses were the catalyst that formed the basis of the mission to indigent Mountain Children.
