what's the US equivalency of Three years of Hospital study and training??

Published

hi everyone. so i got i my foreign nursing diploma evaluated(course-by-course) by WES and they said it's a Three years of Hospital study and training with a total hospital study semester credits of 40.5, GPA 3.53. This was a three years training at a recognize school overseas where i graduated in 2009. does it mean i will have to start the nursing program all over again? has anyone been in this same situation? what options do i have here? thanks so much for reading my post.

What country is your degree from?

What state do you plan to work in after you pass the NCLEX-RN and find a job in?

What do you have now in terms of SS# or a working visa or ??

Do you have a valid nursing license from your country?

As I'm not sure some states will accept WES results and maybe the other course evaluation companies will either agree with WES findings or maybe they might have a more positive result.

hello,

Yes i do have a valid licence from my country (Cameroon) and i live in VA. the SS# ain't an issue as i do have one and i am able to work here but not as a nurse so far. is it possible to just transfer some of these credits to start the BSN program? a college adviser asked me to get a course by course evaluation and i am planning to send the results to them. thanks
