UPenn BSN Second Degree/ABSN 2015

Hey everyone,

I was looking to connect with other people who have applied for Penn's BSN Second Degree Program. I received an email stating that interviews for the program would occur between November 2014 and January 2015. Has anyone heard back about an interview yet?

Hey everyone,

I applied as an Accelerated BSN candidate, and I recently received an email for setting up a phone interview. I am excited!

I am curious why some people (mostly BSN/MSN students) are offered in-person interviews, while it seems like the ABSN only students are offered phone interviews. Has anyone that has applied to the ABSN only been offered an in-person interview?

Congrats on the interview, LREYES. I hope that it went well for you!! I applied to ABSN only and was offered a phone interview (no in person option) as well. I could be wrong, but when I read the initial email, I was more or less expecting that if I did get an interview as an ABSN applicant, that it would be over the phone. It is a small staff for what I'm sure is a large number of applicants! Hopefully we'll know in about a month! Ahhh!

I am growing increasingly concerned, as I have not yet been offered an interview. I hope that there are other individuals (who meet full criteria for application/admission) who are currently in the same boat.

Congrats Annie143! We are in the same boat. I'm nervous for my phone interview. Have you had yours yet?

MorganB29, don't be concerned! I think a lot of BSN second degree applicants are still waiting. I'm sure they have just not gotten around to contacting everyone about it yet. If you are really growing anxious I'm sure you can call and see whats up!

I had an interview yesterday and was told there were over 600 applicants and 95 will be accepted. Admission decisions will be available the first week of February.
